Working out and exercising not only serves as a way to stay fit but also helps stay focused. Along with regular exercise, it's important to eat healthy too. Viraat shares 10 fitness tips from his regime. |

1. Drink Water: Start your day with a glass of water. There is no better medicine than water. Drink water at regular intervals.
2. Eat in Proportion: Eat in the right proportion. You can consume calories but only if you are willing to work out and shed those calories away.
3. Diet Plan: Follow a six meal diet plan. Instead of three large meals, divide your meals into six throughout the day.
4. Eat Right: Fitness is more about 'internal' well-being than 'external' beauty. Your choice of food, immediately reflects on your body. So include more fruits, vegetables and pulses in your diet meeting your nutrition requirements
5. Be Regular to gym: Being regular with your work outs may be difficult, but it is one of the most important aspects of staying healthy. If you cannot visit a gym regularly due to erratic schedules, then try and hit the gym at least thrice a week.
6. Plan your exercise: Concentrate on different body parts — chest and back, shoulder and legs, and biceps on different days.
7. Eat Natural: Avoid processed and packed food while making a conscious choice to consume fresh foods. Milk and eggs should be a part of at least one meal a day.
8. Less carbs: Avoiding carbs after 7PM helps. Stick to steamed and grilled foods or salads and soups in the evenings since it helps in the long run.
9. Take the stairs: Try to take the stairs and avoid elevators. This simple routine will make a huge difference in your fitness regime.
10. Say no to drugs and smoking: Getting rid of an addiction is no mean task. But you must make an effort to say no to cigarettes. Drugs are a complete no-no, since they play as much with your mental health as your physical health.
