Caste-based discrimination might appear to many as a done-to-death topic for discussion, but that doesn’t make discussing ‘untouchability’ a less important affair. It might be a hard to digest fact for urban Indians that the practice of untouchability is still prevalent in a nation that vies to become one of the global super-powers by the end of current decade.
As has been the norm over the last 9 episodes, the social media circuit was yet again buzzing with activity with some pretty insightful conversations happening around the show – especially Twitter. The hashtag that trended in India this week was #Dignity4All. Twitter users across the spectrum made no bones about freely expressing their views and opinion on caste discrimination and the ways and means to permanently eradicate the issue.
