Satyamev Jayate has been bringing forth a number of social causes to be openly discussed in the public domain by getting people to engage, voice their opinion, raise questions and hopefully work towards a solution. As the journey continues, there have been several instances of people wanting to make an impact and bring in change.

The previous episode of Satyamev Jayate spoke about the ill-effects of consuming toxic food. The severity of the situation could be fathomed by the fact that a study conducted by a research scientist at IIT Kanpur revealed dangerous amounts of pesticides in mother’s milk. The excessive use of chemical pesticides has led to increasing amounts of toxins entering our food, water and environment leading to a host of health problems some of which had very serious implications. The guests on the show threw light on the importance and benefits of organic farming and how it can help farmers cultivate chemical-free food.

Sikkim has set a great example by showing how an entire state can switch to organic farming practices without impacting productivity. To gauge popular opinion across the country, Aamir asked if other states should follow Sikkim's example in aiding farmers to switch to organic farming.
