Amul Chhote Ustaad-Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz promises to bring respite to viewers who have been bombarded with negativities surrounding India-Pak ties on news channels. While tension is running high between the two nations due to the setback at the recent Indo- Pak peace initiatives, it’s heartening to find Indian and Pakistani children sharing a joke and laughing together on the sets of Amul Chhote Ustaad-Do Deshon ki Ek Awaaz.

After a long gap of two years, Amul Chhote Ustaad returns to television with a peppy title track Dosti Ki Masti  - a song that is sure to make everybody groove. It surely made our reticent Sonu Niigaam moon walk on the stage as he entered to shoot for his first episode.  Adding more energy to this beginning was our own Chamatkari Omi Vaidya better known as Chatur from 3 Idiots and his co-host Chinmayi Sripada.

While the ambience was full of music and soulful singing and kids wanting to learn more from the maestros, Omi Vaidya was looking for a Hindi Tutor. Matching his steps was his co-anchor Chinmayi who is a south Indian and has requested Sonu for his guidance in Hindi as she claims she is equally bad if not worse than Omi.

Judge Ne Bana Di Jodi
The inaugural week of Amul Chhote Ustaad focuses on forming 10 pairs or teams; each comprising  one Indian and one Pakistani kid. The judges will hear all the twenty kids, ascertain their scales and then accordingly form pairs who will then compete as teams in the show.  Each team will become Do Deshon ki Ek Awaaz.

India Ke Chhote Ustaad
The Indian singing talent comprises of Bhanu Pratap, Sayantan Paul, Satinder Sanu, Mayuri, Akanksha Sharma, Ansh Pandey, Debanjana Karmakar, Dipan Mitra, Rishabh Chaturvedi and Shyamatan Das.

Pakistan Ke Chhote Ustaad
The Pakistani singing talent comprises of Ahsan Ali, Faisal Zahoor, Fariha Akram, Farook Ali Moon, Mohd Fahad Baber, Rose Mary Mushtaq, Rouhan Abbas, Sayyad Mair Hassan, Shahid Ali and Waniya Jibran.

In one of their very first songs, the children surprised the judges with their choice of songs. Most of the Indian kids sang sufiana melodies while the Pakistani kids performed on Indian Bollywood songs, inadvertently signifying the influence of Indian and Pakistani culture on each other. The Indian Kids sang popular sufiana songs like Sawarein while the Pakistani kids performed on superhit Bollywood songs like Lata Mangeshkar’s immortal melody Bahon mein chalein aao.

Which of the two singers on each side will be paired up?  Will they like the judge’s decision or have their favorites on each side?

To know this, watch Chhote Ustaad on July 24th and 25th , 9 pm on STAR Plus.
