Going on a family vacation If you are feeling ashamed of not spending enough time with your parents then this is the time to do so. You can plan a trip to any exotic location and bring a smile on your parents face. Shaswat, Forum, Aniket and Binoy are also planning a surprise trip for Sanyukta and Nikhilesh. “This is the occasion when you can spend quality time with your parents and make them feel special. We are sure you would have gone on numerous trips planned by your parents. So, this is the time to repay them,” says Shaswat. Give them Customize gifts Everyone likes gifts and more so if they are personalised. You can take help from various portals that can help you design a customized scrapbook/flipbook or a photo collage. You can start with family pictures starting from the oldest to the latest ones. This can have all the old memories right from your parents wedding day to the day you were born and so on. Make your parents relive those moments again. “You can also go for handmade card, photo album or get a collage framed,” says Pankhuri. Plan a family reunion Invite your extended family for lunch or dinner. You can also plan for a surprise; this will add the fun to the party. “Let your parents have fun with everyone, after all the more the merrier, isn’t it?” says Akshara and Naitik who too are planning for a surprise family get-together. Throw a party in your parents’ honor You can even throw a themed party for your parents, where you can invite your parent’s friends. Make the evening enjoyable and memorable with music, food and games. “Make them cut a cake on this special day”, says Viraat-Maanvi and Arnav-Khushi who are planning well in advance for the day. Make them feel special If you think your parents would appreciate you keeping the celebrations simple, you can take them to the temple and even prepare/order their favorite meal. Dedicate one day to them and show how much you love them. Sooraj and Sandhay are planning to take Bhabhoo and Bhabasa to the nearest Laxmi temple in Singapore and then savoir their taste buds with Rajasthani delicacies cooked by Sooraj. “I am eagerly waiting for the day where I can do something good for my parents and make them happy,” says Sooraj. While Sandhya adds, "I am sure Bhabhoo and Bhabasa will be surprised to see a temple in Singapore." Flowers, cake, gift, cards - well no matter how you celebrate this day, the idea is to spend as much time as possible with your parents and make them feel special. Just show them how much you care.
