| About Kruti Shah |
Believe it or not, the US based Kruti Shah is a double major in Biology and Evolution Anthropology. She loves dance so much that though it is physically taxing for her to handle studies and dance, she never misses either. If she had to choose one, she says it would be dance hands down.
Just Dance for her is not only a huge platform and a big deal but also a litmus test. Her performance in this competition will decide the fate of her future. Just Dance will choose her career path. With so much riding on Just Dance, Kruti hopes to win this mega competition. She has been dancing since she was 6 years old and tried most forms be it Tap, Point, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Bharat Natyam.
Being on this show and during the workshop she has had splendid experiences. One of them was with dance guru Saroj Khan. Kruti got the special gesture from Saroj Khan, the Rs. 101 ka shagun which is an honour for dancers, a memento she will never part with. Though Kruti was intimidated about coming to India, once she arrived her worries flew away as she made friends with contestants of Just Dance. She has learnt that Indian dance in the US is a fraction of what the actual Indian dance done in India is. This visit via this competition has been an eye opener for her. She has gained not only confidence but also knowledge. |
